Focus on cans, No more 1L refillables
When we first started Comet’s Coffee, our mission was simple—bring high-quality cold brew to people who appreciate great coffee. Our first product, a 1L refillable glass container, was something we were proud of. It allowed us to serve fresh, locally brewed cold brew to our community in Sutherland while keeping things sustainable. Delivering locally and seeing people enjoy our coffee was a great experience.
But as we’ve grown, so has our vision.
Why the Shift to Cans?
We’ve made the decision to fully focus on cans, stepping away from the 1L refillables. Here’s why:

Scaling Up, Without Sacrificing Quality
- We produce our coffee in small batches, ensuring every can delivers the same smooth, balanced taste we started with. But to can our coffee, we need to meet the minimum volume requirements of our canning facility—something that doesn’t align with continuing the 1L refillables.

Making Comet’s Coffee Available Everywhere
- While our refillable system worked well locally, our goal has always been to make great coffee available anywhere. Cans allow us to do just that—whether you’re at work, on a road trip, or just want an easy grab-and-go option, Comet’s Coffee moves with you.

Balancing What We Can Do Well
- Delivering locally was something we loved, but at this stage, we can’t do both. By shifting our full focus to canning, we can ensure consistency, freshness, and availability while growing in a sustainable way.
What’s Next?
Comet’s Coffee is still about the same thing—quality cold brew, done right. We’re excited for what’s ahead as we continue to refine our process and expand our reach.
